Above the turbulence

As you choose to leave the world behind, there is a space. It is turbulent and loud. It could shake you or it could be used to propel you upward. If you choose to lift up, you will reach a place above the turbulence. There is peace in overcoming the world.

Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. Psalm 25:1 Bible verse

When you feel yourself overwhelmed and shaken by things of this world, take a moment to pause and ponder. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and bring to mind your covenants and the Savior, the power of those sacred promises and His infinite glory. Remember who you are eternally, your true divine nature. Choose to let the power of these eternal truths propel you above this temporary world.

The stark realities of this life - the restrictions, the abuses, the things that are unfair, the barriers - only exist temporarily. And you are eternal. As you exercise the power of your faith, the priesthood power that comes to you by keeping your covenants is also eternal and propels you continually past the limits of now. -Sharon Eubank

Focus with an eye of faith until you feel yourself rising above the noise and commotion of the world, beyond the turbulence. Let your soul find peace and rest there. Whenever you sense that turbulence again, know the adjustment you can make, to simply lift your thoughts and focus, elevate yourself, and you can find peace again.

No matter how many times you have slipped or fallen, rise up! Your destiny is a glorious one! Dieter F. Uchtdorf
